A former deputy sheriff in the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department in South Carolina, Dennis Stazer conducted patrols, investigated crimes, and testified in felony cases. Dennis Stazer maintained membership in professional organizations including the Lexington County Law Enforcement Association and the Fraternal Order of Police.
Comprising 330,000 members working together toward education, legislation, and community involvement, the Fraternal Order of Police is the largest law enforcement organization in the world. The organizations’ programs and initiatives include a Veteran’s Partnership that provides life-saving resources for veterans in crisis or veterans experiencing homeless. The 24-hour crisis line is a confidential phone, online chat, or text service that connects veterans, as well as service members and their families, to trained VA responders.
The Fraternal Order of Police also collaborates with the Veterans Administration and local organizations to combat veteran homelessness, connecting veterans with services they need and deserve. The initiative focuses on community outreach to offer healthcare, housing, education, and job training for veterans.
